How do I book an appointment?

Create an account, choose your service, then pick a date, a 30-minute slot, and your notary. Slots are shown in East Africa Time (EAT) and open for the next 14 days. Once you select a slot we hold it for 15 minutes while you complete the booking, and keep it reserved for you once you submit.

What are your appointment hours?

Availability is set by each advocate on the roll, so the grid you see when booking is the real, current availability — not a marketing claim. Every time is displayed in EAT with your local equivalent alongside it, so there is no arithmetic to get wrong from Doha or Toronto.

Can I choose my notary?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The schedule step shows the advocates available for your slot, and you pick one. If you have worked with someone before you can book them again whenever their availability allows.

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open the booking from your dashboard and pick a new time — free of charge up to 24 hours before your session, and your payment carries over. Slots held for an unpaid booking are released if the appointment window passes without payment.

Question 5

What if I miss my session, or need to move it at the last minute?

Each booking includes one free late change. If you move it inside 24 hours or don't join, we hold your payment and you can rebook within 7 days at no extra cost. Your notary waits 10 minutes before treating a session as missed. If a second session on the same booking is missed, or you don't rebook within 7 days, the fee is forfeited because the notary's time was reserved and not used.

What identification do you accept?

One valid government-issued photo identification. A Kenyan passport or Huduma national ID is the norm; a foreign passport or national ID is accepted where you are resident abroad. The document must be current — expired ID cannot be used for a notarial act.

What do I need for the session?

Accepted Answer

A computer, phone, or tablet with a working camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and your ID in hand. Chrome, Edge, or Safari work best. You do not need to print anything unless your matter is one of the wet-ink exceptions below.

What documents should I upload, and in what format?

Accepted Answer

Each service shows a checklist of the exact documents it needs, marked required or optional, with guidance on each one. Upload PDFs or images up to 5 MB each, and up to five documents per booking. If a required item is missing, the booking will tell you which one before you can submit.

What happens after I upload?

Accepted Answer

Your documents go through an automated pre-check before the session, then a human review. If something is unclear, incomplete, or the wrong document, you get a plain-language note listing exactly what to fix, and you can re-upload and re-submit without booking again.

What if my document is rejected?

It is not a dead end. You will see specific reasons — a missing page, an unsigned annexure, an illegible ID scan — and links straight to the slot that needs a new file. Nothing is charged for a re-submission.

How much does it cost?

Flat fees, published up front. Affidavits and statutory declarations start at Ksh 4,500, powers of attorney at Ksh 6,500, and land transfer document sets at Ksh 8,000. Add-ons such as drafting, extra signers, and additional documents in the same session are listed on the Fees page.

How do I pay?

M-Pesa or card. You pay after your documents clear review and before the session is confirmed, so you are never paying for a matter we have not yet checked.

Are embassy or ministry fees included?

Accepted Answer

No. For authentication and legalization, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassy charges are pass-through costs quoted separately once the destination country is confirmed.

Do I get a receipt?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A numbered receipt is issued automatically once payment clears and is available to download from your booking at any time.

When do I get my notarized document?

The sealed document is uploaded to your booking by the advocate once the session completes, and you download it from your dashboard. Most matters are returned the same day.

Will my document be accepted?

Documents notarized through our platform are used with the Ministry of Lands, the Judiciary, KRA, NTSA, Immigration and Citizen Services, and foreign embassies. Where a specific registry or foreign authority imposes its own requirement — an apostille, a consular stamp, or wet ink — we tell you before you book so you are not surprised at the counter.

Which documents still need wet ink?

Wills and certain instruments that a specific foreign registry insists on being signed physically. If your matter falls into this category, say so on the contact form and we will tell you what is actually possible rather than take a booking we cannot complete.

Can I get a certified copy later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A digitally sealed certified copy of a completed document can be issued from your booking record. The fee is on the Fees page.

Question 19

Is my notary a real Kenyan advocate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every notary on the platform is an active Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practising certificate, verified against the Law Society of Kenya roll before they can accept a single matter.

Question 20

What happens to my documents and my session recording?

Accepted Answer

Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and session records are retained as evidence of the notarial act, available if a registry or court later questions it. Read Security & Legality for the specifics.

Do you give legal advice?

Accepted Answer

No. We perform notarial acts and, where you ask for it, drafting of standard instruments. We do not advise you on whether a transaction is in your interest. For that, instruct an advocate on the merits.
